LTR relieving facilitator for primary school support

Support for facilitators on a relieving basis.

FTTE up to: 0.6

Start date will depend on the applicants’ availability.

Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi

Mō te tūnga | About the role

This is a new role for us. Our team have established strong relationships with the educators we work alongside. This person will be introduced to the kura we already work alongside, and then co-create next steps with our facilitators and kura.

We are looking for someone to support Canterbury primary kaiako. The successful applicant will need to be someone who enjoys primary teaching pedagogy and has a passion for effective pedagogy in Maths.

  • From 1-3 days per week (depending on what is available and what the successful applicant can manage)
  • Must be an educator
  • Must have access to laptop and WiFi
  • Remuneration: hourly rate for mahi delivered
  • Work only in school terms

  • Ako – A track record of an understanding that sometimes we learn from those we work alongside, and sometimes we facilitate the mahi.
  • Manaakitanga – A track record of showing respect, generosity, and care for others.

  • A full driver’s licence.
  • Ability to work with schools during the week.
  • Experience teaching in Aotearoa.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Comfortable speaking in front of others.
  • Coaching and mentoring experience.
  • Digitally literate.
  • Demonstrate initiative, creativity, and a commitment to learning new skills.
  • The ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Development and delivery of engaging Maths programs in the primary years (a confident Maths kaiako)

You will be working alongside our team to support schools around Aotearoa to bring the MoE RAPLD National Priorities to life including Local Curriculum, Digital Fluency, and Assessment for Learning.

  • Ako –  A track record of an understanding that sometimes we learn from those we work alongside, and sometimes we facilitate the mahi.
