Over the years ImpactEd have supported a number of school, and Kāhui Ako Teacher Only Days with workshops around supporting neuridiverse learners.

Harnessing Technology to Empower Neurodiverse Learners: Strategies for Inclusive Teaching

Explore the benefits of technology for neurodiverse students, from customisable learning experiences to enhanced accessibility features and increased engagement. Through hands-on demonstrations, explore a range of assistive technology tools and software, including text-to-speech, speech-to-text, and sensory-friendly apps, designed specifically to support neurodiverse learners.

Gain practical insights into selecting and designing digital learning materials, including tips for using accessible formats and optimising website and app accessibility.

Throughout the workshop, we'll showcase how technology can facilitate the implementation of UDL strategies, providing participants with actionable tips and best practices for integrating technology into instruction to support neurodiverse learners.

Practical Strategies for Differentiation in the Secondary Classroom

A practical workshop focused on differentiating learning to reach the diverse needs of all students.

This interactive session delves into actionable strategies for creating learning experiences that are both accessible and challenging for everyone in your classroom.You will explore how to tap into varied ways students understand concepts and discover effective techniques to extend learning for all.

We will explore:

  • entry points to lessons that resonate with a wide range of learners.
  • questioning methods to effectively assess and build upon individual understanding.
  • differentiated tasks and activities that provide appropriate levels of support and extension.
  • technology tools that can personalise and enhance learning.
